Preston Park Montessori Academy is Hiring a Montessori Assistant Director Near Plano, TX

Full Job Description

Preston Park Montessori Academy in Plano, TX is looking for an Assistant Director who is passionate, self-motivated, upbeat and friendly. This role will assist the Executive and Center Directors in managing day-to-day operations of the school and overseeing team of 20 teachers in a fast-paced environment.

Role Responsibilities:

-Maintain high standards of quality Montessori education by demonstrating sense of responsibility towards the children and commitment to providing environment for growth and independence.

-Demonstrate strong leadership in day-to-day operations of the school.

-Assist teachers in the implementation of the Montessori curriculum. This includes ongoing support, training of current and new teachers, and ongoing support for classroom materials.

-Conduct classroom observations, evaluations, and provide feedback that motivates and encourage learning.

-Create and maintain monthly calendars for curriculum topics

-Maintain weekly schedules for teachers.

-Maintain teacher to student ratio in all classrooms through reassignment and shuffling as needed.

-Maintain parent and community relationships that includes ongoing parent communication

-Responsible for school-wide event planning including holiday and community events

-Marketing-posting events, classroom work, etc on Instagram and Facebook along with promoting school through social media ads and community marketing events.

-Conduct tours, assist in the enrollment process and communicating with perspective families.

-Assist Center Director of hiring of new employees by maintaining new hire paperwork.

Qualifications:

- Highschool Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred or ECE credential)

- 3 years of experience in childcare environment

- Previous Montessori experience is required

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skill

- Go-getter personality with sense of urgency

- Excellent organizations, problem-solving and time management skills.

- Self-motivated, friendly and approachable.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
