Job Description

The Total Rewards/People Coordinator is responsible for assisting with, supporting, and owning the management of a variety of projects and tasks in the Total Rewards Department. Incumbent performs customer service by answering employee requests and questions. Specific HR projects include the knowledge and expertise in the areas of Benefits, Compensation, HR Information Systems, and Organizational Development. Incumbent will manage projects, including but not limited to: processing benefits carrier invoices, routine audits and corrections of HRIS, facilitating the onboarding process for new hire and assisting with new employee orientation. In addition, the Total Rewards/People Coordinator will handle the flow of data and communications through the People Department, maintain employee files, update electronic records, assist with employee inquiries and direct employees to the required resources.

This is an entry-level role, initially partnering with and learning from other team members, with a goal to become a lead and "own" certain areas/components of the TR program.

Primary duties and responsibilities include:

  • Compensation:Process annual merit increases; calculate annual bonus payouts; participate in administration of salary grade structure; conduct/perform external/internal competitive market value assessments; research and analyze compensation-related trends/developments, and participate in compensation surveys.
  • Benefits:Administer benefit programs in compliance with applicable state and federal laws; coordinate/execute certain benefit processes (i.e. LoA, Open Enrollment) and look for ways to enhance; process invoices, answer associate questions; participate in claims analysis; support 401(k) Plan administration; work with Payroll to flawlessly execute bi-weekly and other payrolls.
  • HRIS:Maintain organized and accurate highly confidential associate personnel and benefit information in PG's "single source of truth" HRIS system; review and process changes; maintain central repository of associate documentation; run reports and balance/reconcile
  • HR Operations:Prepare employee letters regarding status changes, promotions, transfers, etc. Create tickets and routers to notify appropriate parties. Process employee exits.
Qualifications

Ideal candidate will have a strong propensity for, and ability to:

  • Data Analysis:Analyze and summarize key TR data for management decision-making purposes; interpret and provide relevant thoughts and considerations.
  • Reporting/Compliance:Prepare and submit/distribute required external governmental/compliance reporting and notices (e.g., 5500s, EEO, VETS, ACA) as well as internal periodic management reporting (e.g. monthly staffing dashboard, weekly claims analysis, new hire enrollments).
  • Communications:Participate in the effective and flawless communication of TR program (e.g. associate memos, annual Benefits Guide, associate Communications/Total Rewards Statements) and associate TR training/town halls.

Further, you are expected to have current knowledge of total rewards practice changes and legislative influences (ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, etc.), broad knowledge of benefit and compensation practices and principles, and related laws and regulations, and a proven ability to partner with senior management to ensure delivery of the best possible compensation, benefit and HRIS programs with the ability to effectively communicate to all stakeholders.

Qualifications/Education:

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college.
  • Major in business, economics, or strong demonstrated financial business acumen.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Attention to detail/accuracy and strong organization skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to create original content and drafts a plus.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • 1-3 years of prior work experience working with compensation, benefits, HRIS systems, or payroll. (International payroll/compensation experience preferred)
  • Relevant college work/capstone projects.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including modeling and scenario planning.

Ability to navigate and leverage technology/systems, troubleshooting as needed, looking for process improvements and streamlining opportunities.Additional Information

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $37,000 - $55,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus or commission tied to achieved results.
