Position Description/Overview:

Press Ganey currently has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst in our Chicago, IL office. This position provides financial analysis support, preparing short & long-term forecasts, month end reporting and conducting comprehensive analysis on financial and operating results.

Duties/Responsibilities & Skills/Traits: 

• Support the Director of FP&A with the preparation of the monthly corporate forecast
• Partner with business group leaders in the monthly analysis of operating results compared to expectations
• Assist in the development of budget/forecast templates with a process improvement mindset
• Assist in developing and managing specific functional reporting area of the business
• Provide analytical support for operating departments
• Provide support for ad-hoc reporting analysis

Financial Management and Experience

• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) 
• Strong financial modeling skills with experience developing financial statements and ROI analysis
• Prior experience developing budgets and forecast and prior experience analyzing department level operating statements desired
• Potential to develop into business partner role taking ownership of one or more functional areas

Analytical Skills

• Ability to effectively diagnose and troubleshoot problems that may arise - Strong analytical, statistical, quantitative, and deduction skills
• Ability to present detailed information in a digestible format depending on audience

Business Acumen and Skills

• Understanding of business processes and basic corporate finance, management, and accounting principles

Minimum Experience:

• 3 years of experience

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in finance or accounting required
• CPA/MBA, or other FP&A qualification would be considered beneficial
