Duties/Responsibilities:
Deliver products safely and efficiently to various locations. Ensure proper handling of products, safe driving practices, and high standards of customer service.
- Conduct vehicle safety inspections daily. (Lights, Tires, Gauges, Fluids, etc.) Report any issues to the Manager the same day the issue is noticed.
- Follow All DOT regulations and safe driving standards.
- professionally represent the company to all customers.
- Work cooperatively with all customers, employees, and supervisors.
- Keep company vehicles clean.
- Inspect all material for damage before loading on the truck. Verify quantity, skids, boxes, etc.
- Safely load products onto trucks according to the companys specifications. Be sure all material is properly secured in the truck.
- Follow scheduled delivery orders and the most efficient routes to each location.
- Maintain ongoing communication with the dispatcher about any issues that may arise.
- Inspect and safely unload material per company specifications. (Tailgate Deliveries w/ exceptions)
- Review deliveries with customers to ensure products are correct.
- Collect payments if required.
- Obtain delivery signatures from each customer for the products delivered.
- Utilize time when not driving to cross-train in other departments.
- Train and Teach new employees.
Must have a valid Class C license, DOT certified and clean driving record.
