Behavioral Health Clinician II LPC/LGPC/LMSW/LCSW Shift(s): Various (Day, Evening, Overnight, Weekend, Rotating) Location(s): Residential Facility and/or Mobile in Community Setting (Baltimore City and Surrounding Communities) Job Scope: Provides person-focused therapeutic services for individuals experiencing mental and behavioral health events of varying acuity, inclusive of substance use and/or withdrawal. Contributes to the collaborative plan of care and delivery of services to individuals through assessment, evaluation, crisis interventions, referrals, development, and implementation of treatment plans using outcome-based goals. Works as part of an interdisciplinary team with the individual as a decision-maker. Provide a full range of crisis and behavior stabilization services supporting clients with a variety of behavioral health needs. Conduct behavioral health assessments for individuals in crisis and/or who are experiencing high acuity behavioral health symptoms. In collaboration with a peer recovery specialist, nurse, and/or other professional team members, provide appropriate crisis intervention(s), supportive counseling, and de-escalation support. Coordinate with natural and paid support systems for transportation to emergency rooms, shelters, or outpatient clinics for the provision of care as determined appropriate through the assessment process. Using established mechanisms/processes, refer individuals to outpatient facilities and services. As identified and authorized within the scope of work, provide short-term limited, evidence-based counseling to individuals and support to their families and/or natural support systems. Attend MCRSS and other relevant training courses as offered and available. Coordinate and act as a liaison as assigned and appropriate for internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrate adherence to company policies and expectations and behavioral competencies, both explicit and implicit. All tasks, projects, and/or duties as assigned and authorized which are congruent as determined by Human Resources and Direct Supervisor (or designated delegate) to be congruent with the role. Educational and License Requirements: A Master's in Clinical Psychology (MA or MS), or Master's in Social Work (MSW) is required Current counseling/social work licensure in Maryland (LCPC or LCSW-C) is required Current BLS Certification is preferred Experience: 2 years of experience as a counseling professional is required Completion of Licensure Supervisory Hours is required Additional: A valid and unrestricted drivers license is required Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Products is required Proficiency and familiarity with EHR/EMR systems is preferred Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer workstation. Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching. Must be able to lift weights up to 50 pounds at a time. Working Conditions: Potential exposure to highly emotional and stressful situations.
