Responsibilities Include:

Assess each assigned student’s physical, communication, and cognitive skills to develop a treatment plan; including but not limited to ongoing review and adaptation needs of the plan.

Provide targeted, evidence-based therapeutic intervention to facilitate student participation and occupational performance in the school environment.

Monitor and assess the effects of occupational therapy intervention and the need to continue, modify, or discontinue intervention(s).

Adapt and modify the school/classroom environment as needed; including implementing assistive technology, providing training and ongoing support to the student, and training instructional staff to meet individual needs and to student(s) function as independently as possible.

Educate student(s), educational personnel, and family to facilitate skills in areas of occupation as well as health maintenance and safety, including consultations with school-based team.

Help student(s) take part in everyday activities based on their unique circumstances and impacts.

Perform administrative tasks such as keeping student records, writing reports, and consulting with the school, family, and/or multidisciplinary team as needed.

Required Skills/Credentials:

NYS Occupational Therapy Licensure.

1or more years of experience as an Occupational Therapist.

PETS Clearance.

Bilingual language skills are a plus.

Work Environment: In-School (as assigned)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $80.00 - $90.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 5 per week
