RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Provides Occupational Therapy services topatients under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
·Assists the Occupational Therapist in theevaluation process as needed or directed.
·Identifies indications for and assists inevaluations at appropriate intervals under the direction of an OccupationalTherapist.
·Assists the Occupational Therapist inidentifying a problem list, short term goals, long term goals and treatmentplan.
·Conducts individual, supervised and grouptreatment as assigned by the Occupational Therapist.
·Monitors patient’s response to intervention andconsults with Occupational Therapist if modification is needed.
·Maintains acceptable patient care ratios asdetermined by the Occupational Therapist.
·Provides/recommends/fabricates adaptive devicesor other equipment; trains patient and caregiver in the use or application oforthotics and prosthetics.
·Confers formally and informally with other teammembers in coordinating the total rehabilitation program of the patient.
·Assumes responsibility for ongoing continuingeducation and professional development.
·Adheres to Occupational Therapy Departmentprocedures regarding documentation of Occupational Therapy Services.
·Provides treatment in accordance withestablished standards of practice, department procedures and productivitystandards.
·Records billable treatment times according toOccupational Therapy Department procedures and submits weekly/monthlystatistics to regional office.
·Complies with all Infection Control, UniversalPrecautions and OSHA standards for the healthcare professional.
·Assists with and participates in QualityAssurance Programs as required.
·Adheres to established confidentialitystandards.
·Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION /EXPERIENCE:
·Associates degree in from an accreditedinstitution
·Licensed to practice in the state
·Current CPR certification
