Job details for a Robotics Automation Engineer:
Pay type: Salaried (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday-Friday flexible dayshift hours
Interview process: phone screening, on-site interview, and facility tour
Job duties and responsibilities for a Robotics Automation Engineer:
Design, implement, test, commission, and evaluate robotic automation systems
Collaborate with customers to finalize system design, controls package, and operator interface
Generate electrical system bill of materials
Oversee PLC hardware design through detailed drawings
Program the PLC control system according to system specifications
Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing
Manage multiple small to medium-sized projects concurrently
Provide expert technical advice on power and control systems to customers
Assist current and prior customers in troubleshooting their equipment when needed
Experience and requirements for a Robotics Automation Engineer:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology
5 years of professional field experience
Demonstrated expertise in designing control systems for robotic cells and other industrial processes
Proficient with Rockwell PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting
Experience in programming Fanuc Robots
Keen attention to detail, with a track record of troubleshooting problems in stressful situations
Must be hands-on, self-motivated, and work well with team members and customers
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Some travel required – up to 15%, mostly local customers within a 2-hour drive
