Prairie Ridge Health is looking for a team member to join our Business Services Department in the role of Business Services Support Specialist.

This position is a 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week) and will be responsible for a variety of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS / LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION / REGISTRATION : Required High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience with health insurance and reading EOB’s.

Understanding of insurance terminology. Understanding and knowledge of basic accounting principles. Basic keyboarding, 10 key calculator skills, word processing and e-mail skills;

the ability to create simple forms, tables, professional memos and e-mails. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel. This includes the ability to create daily and monthly logs and summary reports, insert simple formulas and manipulate the design and appearance of worksheets.

Must possess the ability to work both independently as well as a part of a team. Preferred Previous experience with collection techniques or patient registration.

Understanding of medical terminology. Previous customer service experience. Intermediate proficiency with Excel FTE : 1.
