POSITION SUMMARY:

The Business Services Support Specialist is responsible for a variety of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks that reinforces the mission of the Business Services Team.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience with health insurance and reading EOB’s.
• Understanding of insurance terminology.
• Understanding and knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Basic keyboarding, 10 key calculator skills, word processing and e-mail skills; the ability to create simple forms, tables, professional memos and e-mails.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel. This includes the ability to create daily and monthly logs and summary reports, insert simple formulas and manipulate the design and appearance of worksheets. 
• Must possess the ability to work both independently as well as a part of a team.

Preferred 

• Previous experience with collection techniques or patient registration.
• Understanding of medical terminology.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Intermediate proficiency with Excel

FTE: 1.0 (40 hours per week)

Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm
