Portland Local 8 Federal Credit is currently seeking an Accounting/ Backoffice Specialist.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Financial Institution operating system (computer processing) skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on communicated urgency and deadlines.

General Description:
Position Purpose:
  • Perform tasks necessary to balance and update general ledger and subsidiary accounts, maintain and reconcile daily cash accounts, and manage other accounting-related duties including daily journal entries to the general ledger.
  • Prepare various accounting reports as requested.
  • Process and maintain Backoffice tasks including ACH/ Sharedrafts/ Remote Deposit Capture and other member exception transactions as necessary.
  • Ensure Reg E resolution cases are processed accurately and timely, including communication with members regarding final determination.
  • Reports directly to the CFO.
This is a Full-time (40 hours per week), Hourly Exempt role.
