FIND OUT ABOUT THIS ROLE AND OUR MISSION TO CREATE POSITIVE CHANGE

The Senior Director of Permanent Supportive Housing (SDPSH) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and consistency of operations and services across the portfolio. As a key partner to the Chief Supportive Housing Officer, the SDPSH leads the implementation of a new building model, providing vision and leadership to onsite Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) teams. In addition to supporting the effective implementation of policies and programmatic changes, the incumbent is instrumental in the overall development, integration, and implementation of PSH programs. This regular, full-time position is crucial for setting high standards in program delivery, tenant services, program success, and fiscal management aligned with Plymouth's core values.

Plymouth Housing is a non-profit organization with apartment buildings throughout King County helping the most vulnerable members of our community leave homelessness behind forever. At Plymouth, we're not simply trying to get people off the streets. We provide supportive services like case management and health care so that our residents can thrive long-term. As part of our strategic vision, we are building internal behavioral health services and transforming our systems to address rapid growth and the changing needs of residents.

  • Ensure the quality and effectiveness of PSH programs through ongoing monitoring, evaluation, and quality assurance processes. This involves collecting and analyzing data, identifying trends and areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to address any challenges or gaps.
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with community stakeholders, including local government agencies, service providers, and advocacy organizations. Collaborate with these stakeholders to coordinate services, leverage resources, and advocate for policies and initiatives that support the needs of PSH residents.
  • Oversee the financial management of the PSH program, including developing and managing budgets, monitoring expenses, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements. Make strategic decisions to optimize resource allocation and maximize program impact.

  • Identify opportunities for program expansion and innovation to meet the evolving needs of PSH residents. Stay informed about best practices, emerging trends, and evidence-based interventions in the field of supportive housing and integrate these insights into program planning and implementation.
  • Advocate for policies and initiatives that support the rights and well-being of individuals experiencing homelessness and housing instability. Raise public awareness about the importance of supportive housing and the impact of homelessness on individuals and communities.

About Plymouth Housing

Plymouth Housing transforms lives by providing permanent, supportive homes to homeless people with few other options for housing. Since 1980, weve been providing homes to the most challenged homeless adults in our community. Today, over 1,000 low income and formerly homeless adults live in 14 Plymouth residential apartment buildings in the downtown Seattle area. Another 750 households have found a home in Seattle/King County through Plymouths Shelter Plus Care Program (a federal housing program Plymouth administers for King County). At the heart of Plymouths approach is the Housing First philo...sophy, a philosophy that has proven successful across the country. Without a stable home, homeless people cannot access the assistance they need to address their problems. Lack of a stable home exacerbates chronic medical and mental health conditions, making it very difficult to improve ones life. At Plymouth, we work hard to lower the barriers to housing so that people who are shut out of housing have an opportunity to succeed. Our model of permanent housing, coupled with wrap around supportive services, helps people rebuild their lives, regain their dignity, and leave homelessness behind forever. More
