Job Summary The Packaging Coordinator is responsible for the efficient delivery logistics through data management. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Perform day to day processing and complete communication with the customer, ensuring that customer accounts are maintained in an accurate and up-to-date manner.
Enter packaging and receipt information in Plastic Express and / or Customer system(s). Track shipments and communicate with clients about the package's progress.
Coordinate shipping with clients for shipping and deliveries. Deal with quotes from prospective shippers, or tender internally in the event Plastic Express Drayage can accommodate.
Assist with claims with management and customers if any shipment problems happen to occur. Assist with the completion of export documentation.
Assist with compiling carrier and route assignment. Assist with computing fees for each shipment. Assist with tracking of product flow from receipt / packaging through shipment to port or end customer.
Use automated systems to identify shipments, collect data, and register deliveries. Qualifications and Skills : Minimum education required is a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have the ability to think independently and ensure others, including non-company employees are following safety and performance standards.
Must be computer proficient in a Windows environment. Interpersonal, communications and organizational skills are necessary.
Strong proofreading abilities are required. Must be multi-task oriented with the ability to handle many activities simultaneously.
Must be able to work extended hours and weekends when needed. Must work well in a team environment and provide leadership and support to the fellow staff, customers, vendors and any other individuals or representatives doing business with Plastic Express at all times.
Must be customer focused and communicate respectfully to customers, vendors, visitors and friends of the company at all times.
