REPORTS TO: Director of Development

LOCATION: Planned PEThood’s Headquarters in Duluth, Georgia

STATUS: Exempt/Full-Time/Salary (40 hours per week/Mon-Fri with possibility of one weekend day a month) Remote work possible 1-2 days a week.

JOB SUMMARY

The Development Program Manager is responsible for recommending and implementing fundraising opportunities for the organization. This includes providing researching and submitting grant applications, managing and coordinating activities related to donor relations, fundraising campaigns, special events, and other development initiatives. The Development Program Manager will work closely with the Director of Development to ensure the successful execution of all projects, programs, and events.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute fundraising campaigns and events, including researching, creating, and managing timelines, budgets, and other related materials
  • Manage donor data, gifts and pledges, and other records in an accurate, timely, and secure manner
  • Research, recommend and assist in the preparation of grant applications and other fundraising proposals
  • Ensure donor acknowledgments and other correspondence are sent in a timely manner
  • Prepare and deliver donor reports, presentations, and other materials as required
  • Coordinate the organization’s online presence and social media campaigns for development purposes
  • Plan and facilitate meetings and other events, including managing guest lists, registration, and other event logistics
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and follow through with minimal direction
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in a development, fundraising or similar role
  • Knowledge of fundraising tactics and best practices preferred
  • Experience working in nonprofit organizations preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills a must
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Upbeat, positive attitude and creative thinker
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Canva, and ability to learn donor management software and other software as needed – knowledge of CRM Every Action is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to work around both cats and dogs without medical issue
  • Willing to take drug screening upon employment
  • Must be able to work on a computer for 6-8 hours daily to perform essential functions

EMOTIONAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to work under stressful conditions efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to recognize a need for assistance and ask for help
  • Ability to make sound decisions
  • Ability to cope with frustrating situations and remain calm
  • Ability to cope with animals from potentially inhumane conditions

The offices and operations of a high-volume spay/neuter and affordable care wellness clinic can be high stress and very busy at times. Exceptional teamwork is key.
