Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) seeks an ambitious and highly-organized Senior Risk Specialist for the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) department at PPFA . This job reports to the SeniorDirector of Enterprise Risk Management . The core function of the ERM department is to oversee the identification, prioritization, treatment, and monitoring of the full spectrum of risks affecting the organization. The ERM department is within the Strategic Impact & Improvement division.
Purpose : The Senior Risk Specialist will provide administrative and data management support to the Enterprise Risk Management department through assisting with the risk assessment and monitoring processes and collaborating with stakeholders.
Delivery : This factor focuses on the execution of work and the role on the team for supporting business/operational functions.
● Engages with internal stakeholders to effectively analyze and present data and to establish key risk and performance indicators
● Reviews and evaluates risk treatment progress and outcomes, making recommendations when necessary to facilitate improvements.
● Analyze data to better understand potential risks and outcomes
● Aggregate data from the full spectrum of business functions to provide a comprehensive assessment of key risks and treatment activities
● Create reports, summaries, and presentations to display results for department heads and Board presentations
● Monitor internal and external data points that may affect success of risk treatment activities, including key risk indicators
● Oversees maintenance of technological platforms, such as team intranet and project management tools
● Remains current on risk management principles, methods and best practices, including industry, federal, regional, and local regulations, standards, and guidance.
● Demonstrates intercultural competence and ensures all work products consider the impacts of the work on multiple communities, including communities of color and individuals with different gender identities and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Engagement:
● Candidate will be expected to engage stakeholders across all levels of the PPFA National Office, helping to build collaborative and effective partnerships around identified key risks and treatment activities
● Will support National Office and Federation-wide risk management activities related to event investigations and pre-implementation analyses.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): ( Indicate the education, experience, credentials and behaviors needed for this job)
● Knowledge of foundational concepts in one of the following: risk management, not-for-profit organizations, public health, or data analysis.
● At least two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience, in one or a combination of the following area(s): risk management, insurance, quality management, and/or performance improvement.
● Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills required.
● Knowledge of and sensitivity to different racial/ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, and people with different gender identities, cultural differences and disabilities.

Starting salary: $72K

Final offers for this job will be based on capabilities and will be made within the parameters of the PPFA compensation program. Total offer package to include generous vacation sick leave paid holidays, individual/family provided medical, dental and vision benefits effective day 1, life insurance, short/long term disability, paid family leave and 401k. We also offer voluntary opt in for Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Transportation/Commuter accounts.
