Position Summary:

Planet Dental is seeking a Community Outreach Assistant who will be responsible for executing marketing initiatives in the community. This is an entry level position. The goal of the Community Outreach Assistant is to help implement the company’s participation in community events, generate new patient leads and schedule appointments. They will also help to educate the community on oral hygiene, identifying any factors preventing a patient from coming to the dentist.

Compensation will be based on experience.

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week
• Office Open Tuesday - Saturday

Work Location: In Office

Primary Responsibilities:

• Generate new patient leads
• Distribute dental education material to the community
• Innovate new ways of marketing engagement inside and outside of our offices
• Attend community events in an effort to promote the mission and services and brand of Planet Dental.
• Provides education on oral hygiene, preventative services, all aspects of clinical procedures available at offices
• Create trusting relationships with community members
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Enjoys working with younger children, speaking with parents and making them feel comfortable
• Work within clinics and outdoors at events.
• Strong communication skills, enjoys public speaking and the ability to lead a presentation.
• Event planning.
• Outgoing, sales-oriented and engaging personality.
• Ability to travel between offices regularly.

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Comfortable with conversational Spanish and English
• Two years of customer service or related experience preferred.
• Any event coordinating, marketing, or dental experience is a plus.
