Planet DDS is Hiring a Remote Senior Account Executive

Planet DDS is the leading provider of cloud-enabled dental software solutions serving over 10,000 practices in North America with over 60,000 users. The company delivers a complete platform of solutions for dental practices including Denticon Practice Management, Apteryx XVWeb Digital Imaging, Cloud 9 Practice Management (for Orthodontist practices) and Legwork Patient Relationship Management. Planet DDS is committed to creating value for its dental practice clients by solving the most urgent challenges facing today’s dental practices in North America.The Senior Account Executive is responsible for driving incremental sales and market share growth through direct selling efforts. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Account Executive to drive new business growth within our organization. The Senior Account Executive will be responsible for managing and developing strategic sales plans, strong focus on building and maintaining client relationships, driving revenue growth, and contributing to the overall success of the sales department and the company.Occasional travel may be required.
JOB DUTIES
  • Lead the development and execution of strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Meets or exceeds organizational key performance indicators, sales targets and quotas. Monitors sales performance and redirects efforts when goals are not being met. Champions change efforts to increase sales effectiveness, negotiates with customers at the highest level, and finds ways to leverage current footprint to target accounts for higher level access to decision makers.
  • Manage and nurture a portfolio of key clients, understanding their businesses, needs, and challenges, and providing tailored solutions to drive value and ensure long-term satisfaction and retention.
  • Share best practices, providing support, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance sales culture.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, as well as through prospecting, networking, and strategic relationship-building to expand the client base and increase revenue streams.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement targeted sales strategies, campaigns, and account-specific initiatives to drive awareness, demand, and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Conduct high-level product demonstrations, presentations, and negotiations with key stakeholders to secure and expand business opportunities, as well as to showcase the value and benefits of our offerings.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitive activities to identify opportunities for growth and potential threats, and provide insights and recommendations to the leadership team.
  • Utilize CRM software to track and manage sales activities, pipeline, and customer information, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of sales activities and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, customer success, and product development, to ensure a seamless customer experience, alignment of sales efforts with company objectives, and the successful execution of client initiatives.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5-7 Years of relevant experience in a Sales related position.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets and quotas in a B2B sales environment.
  • Previous experience in a senior-level sales role, key account management, or a related position.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a strong drive to succeed in a competitive sales environment and the ability to inspire and motivate others to excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in using CRM software, Microsoft Office suite, and other relevant sales and productivity tools.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as needed.
Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location.
