Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager will have a minimum of 5 years' experience. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience working with clients and staff at all levels. A high degree of professionalism and customer service skills, as well as the ability to learn new skills quickly and adapt to changing priorities are required. Must be detail oriented and able to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook) are a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

The Accounting Manager will have direct supervisory responsibilities for accounting department members and their specific responsibilities including Payroll, Expense Reporting and Accounts Payable. The accounting team works closely with the Billing and A/R teams. The Accounting Manager will have responsibility for weekly and monthly financial reporting, general ledger analysis and other special projects as requested. Responsible for all city and state tax reporting including city business taxes, annual census reporting, property tax reporting, annual 1099 reporting and responding to various survey requests. Maintain fixed asset/depreciation schedule. Assist CFO with year-end attorney statistics reporting and annual budget preparation. Team is comprised of competent staff who work hard and excel with guidance, mentoring and leadership. Will have the opportunity to identify areas for improvement, so must have experience in implementing process improvements and refining best practices.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

· · Ideal candidate will have 5 years of Accounting experience, with 1 years of experience with managing a team.

· · Requires a four-year degree with accounting accreditations/education.

· · Technical skills required include advanced level Excel skills and knowledge of automated payroll systems (Paycom, Paychex, Quickbooks, etc).
