Job Summary:

The human resources Manager reports directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer. The Human Resources Manager administrates employee-related issues and implements plans across every significant area of human resources, including but not limited to recruiting, compensation and benefits, employment regulations, training and development, employee safety and wellbeing, and general human resource management.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Supervise HR generalists. And HR assistant.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, or other HR programs as requested by the Chief Human Resources Officer.

• Setting objectives for the HR team and tracking progress.

• Designing and implementing company policies that promote a healthy work environment.

• Works closely with the Chief Human Resources Officer.as needed on strategic HR initiatives that may include Performance Management, Workforce Planning, Employee Learning and Development, Diversity, Compliance, Recruitment, Exit, and/or Compensation-related action items.

• Proactively addresses employee concerns and with the Chief Human Resources Officer coordinates any necessary investigations.

• Process terminations, including Review and preparation of termination documents and attending termination meetings.

• Support the Chief Human Resources Officer with the preparation and coordination of the wage analysis process.

• Coordinates the Performance Management process.

• May also prepare reports based on the needs of the district.

• Assists the Chief Human Resources Officer in Providing support in functional areas of Human Resources including but not limited to recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee and/or labor relations, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits administration, organization development, training and special projects

• Support the Chief Human Resources Officer on core program rollout of compensation and performance management programs

• Customizes and delivers specific HR initiatives such as coaching managers on performance management, employee development, and succession management

• Leads HR projects as assigned by the Chief Human Resources Officer.

• Oversees/assists in the day-to-day delivery of Human Resources projects, programs, and strategies (communication, on-boarding, benefits, talent management)

• Perform a variety of professional and administrative human resources functions

• Drive performance management initiatives for the District

• Counsel leaders and managers on employee relations issues and help reach appropriate resolutions

• Approves transactions in Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to ensure data integrity necessary for reporting and analysis

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines; good cognitive ability required.

• Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.

• Excellent time management skills

• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

• Formal training in general business, Human Resources Management, and office practices.

• Associate degree in Business or related field and 3 years’ experience in Human Resources or Five years of related Human resources experience is required. preferably in a health care setting.

• Experience in ADP strongly preferred.

• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills, computer literacy, and familiarity with Microsoft Office software.

• PHR or SHRM preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Bend, stoop, and climb to reach supplies and files; to speak, hear, and see for phone and office machines.

• Lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines; good cognitive ability required.
