The Pinterest Community is a place for businesses on Pinterest to help each other learn and grow. As the Community Program Manager, you’ll play a critical role in scaling, shaping and amplifying the support that our dedicated members provide to one another. You’ll shape the vision and strategy to grow the community. You’ll create a space where people using Pinterest to grow their business can help each other get started and grow their expertise through onboarding and understanding of Pinterest tools and offerings.

You’ll foster a space where people engage in insightful discussions to grow their businesses with Pinterest. Our community members are engaged, enthusiastic and promote a culture of continuous learning and knowledge exchange. Topics range from getting started, overcoming hurdles and learning about new features or advertising strategies. People come to the community to learn how to use Pinterest to better their business.

In this role, you’ll guide the development and execution of all member and engagement-related activities for the Pinterest Community including our ambassador, events and moderation programs. You’ll be an advocate and champion for members of the community by understanding their business needs, and identifying solutions to meet their challenges. You’ll work closely with the community team and partner cross-functionally to drive the execution of key community program initiatives and serve as the face and voice of the brand in the Pinterest Community.

Prior experience in online forums and building community engagement programs from the ground up is a must. We’re looking for a strategic, process-oriented and passionate about finding new and innovative ways to drive online engagement. You’re excited to roll up your sleeves to unlock connection and collaboration amongst community members.

What you’ll do:

  • Strategize and innovate: Develop a strategic vision to enhance community engagement within our online forum and events tool, aiming to drive sustainable growth and meaningful impact.
  • Champion engagement initiatives: Design and implement engagement initiatives and programs to enhance the community experience, utilizing data-driven insights and industry best practices to drive innovation.
  • Drive expansion of events: Create and implement a comprehensive events strategy that includes educational webinars, workshops, and user groups with the goal of empowering users and enhancing their comprehension of our products and services.
  • Uphold community integrity and operational excellence: Lead our moderator program to uphold positivity, safety, relevance and discoverability.
  • Cultivate, connect, and collab: Pioneer our community ambassador initiative, giving props to top users and empowering them to shine. Nurture strong and rewarding partnerships with Pinners using our platform for business and the teams behind the scenes.
  • Supercharge outcomes and measure the magic: Drive success by continuously analyzing key metrics to track engagement growth, identify pivot points and lead improvements to guide decision-making.

What we’re looking for:

  • Seasoned community manager: Experienced in community management or related roles with a track record of driving growth and impact through engagement programs and initiatives.
  • Tech savvy, tool agnostic: Hands-on experience with community platforms, content management systems or events platforms, with a systems-thinking mindset to achieve your goals with the tools in place.
  • Strong communicator: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and mobilize stakeholders and community members toward a shared vision.
  • Dynamic Project leader: Highly organized and strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously and drive projects from ideation to completion.
  • Innovative mindset: Keep a pulse on industry trends and stay curious about new insights and developments. Innovate, influence and impact our engagement programs. You embrace experimentation and aren’t afraid to test the waters!
  • Creative strategist: You’re energetic and creatively solve problems. You value empathy and authenticity when you’re working internally and externally.
  • Community champion: You have a passion for technology, innovation and community building. You have a genuine desire in being an advocate and champion for the wants and needs of community members.
  • Plus points: Knowledge in e-commerce, online advertising, taxonomy or AI would be a bonus.
