As a Purchasing Clerk, your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our center by managing the procurement process. You will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and maintaining inventory of supplies, equipment, and services essential for the success of our programs. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and dedication to supporting education will directly contribute to the success of our mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement of goods and services.

  • Inventory Control: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory levels, anticipating needs, and reordering supplies as necessary to prevent disruptions in daily operations.

  • Budget Compliance: Collaborate with department heads to understand budget constraints and work within allocated funds while seeking cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all purchases meet quality standards, inspecting deliveries and resolving any discrepancies promptly.

  • Vendor Relationship Management: Foster positive and professional relationships with suppliers, addressing concerns and maintaining open lines of communication.

  • Documentation: Keep meticulous records of all transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, and receipts, to facilitate transparent and accurate reporting.

  • High School diploma or equivalent required with 1 to 3 years clerical experience.
  • Degree or certification from an accredited or relevant certified training program.
  • Advanced degrees preferred.
  • Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Suite of applications is required.
