Summary: The Business analyst is a hands-on role to develop detailed business requirements, conduct stakeholder interviews to gather necessary requirements and collaborate with the development team to automate/migrate reporting capabilities and business intelligence. This data initiative project will enable the bank to streamline and reduce manual processes, and gain deeper insights into their business while meeting increasing regulatory and risk compliance requirements. The ideal candidate possesses fundamental understanding of Financial Services Industry (FSI) experience with in data and analytics domain. He/she should be a team player and should be able to able to engage stakeholders (business, IT) with minimal/no supervision.
Responsibilities:
Develop business and functional requirements for report automation/migration and system implementation
Assist the team leads in eliciting business requirement from the business stakeholders, manage the planning and execution of requirements gathering workshop
Conduct stakeholder meetings independently, with minimal supervision, to gather necessary requirements, and develop detailed business requirements document
Collaborate with development teams to ensure that proposed solution align with business needs and requirements
Analyze and interpret complex data sets to translate into clear requirements with detailed business transformation logic
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, includes business requirements, functional specifications, data/process flows, as required
Work closely with development teams during SDLC cycle, not limited to, includes BRD walkthroughs to all stakeholders, UAT testing, Business Verification, etc.
Lead the User Acceptance Testing phase, develop UAT plan and create test cases, report testing status/progress
Assist in addressing issue identified in day-to-day operations by collaborating with concerned stakeholders for effective issue resolution
Create and maintain user manuals and procedures related to reports automated, as needed
Manage all project management activities, including but not limited to, status updates, project plan updates/maintenance, socialization of deliverables with the stakeholders etc.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor/Master degree in finance or related field
Advanced degree in data analytics, business analysis, etc. is preferred
Skills and Knowledge:
4 year experience in data management and business analysis, preferably in the banking sector
Basic Banking product knowledge is preferred, not limited to, such as various types of credit lending products (bilateral, syndication, others), Treasury, etc.
Basic understanding of SQL is required for effective data analysis
Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Must be willing to learn, self-driven and responsible
