PFI is Hiring a CNC Programmer Near Houston, TX

Precision Fluorocarbon Inc. (PFI), an industry leader in custom plastic component manufacturer located in Tomball, Texas is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our team. The CNC Programmer is responsible for writing code to automate power driven machines that cut and finish product. This position will report to the Machine Shop Manger.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to PFI's safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern.
  • Reviews design drawings, work orders, and engineering specifications of customer components that need to be manufactured and determines machining activities required, tools and resources need to perform machining, and sequence of operations.
  • Programs, tests, and revises machine programming as required.
  • Formulates machining requirements and translates instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program.
  • Evaluates and monitors completed designs and validates functionality to ensure successful output based on client needs and specifications.
  • Produces instructions for CNC Machinists.
  • Communicates with engineers and clients regarding programming details.

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED from an accredited institution required.
  • Associate’s Degree or Training in CNC Programming, a computer-related field or mechanical field preferred.
  • Five (5) years of experience in CNC Programming preferred.
  • Three (3) plus years multi-axis programming preferred.

. Additional Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle and feel, as well as reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
