The Outpatient Nurse Manager manages the staff in preadmission, scheduling adequate staff to meet the schedule needs. Responsible for maintaining a process that ensures patients are adequately assessed prior to procedures at the hospital and the ASC. Meets all the elements of the staff nurse job description in addition to the leadership role.
Required Education:
Graduate of accredited school of nursing
Preferred Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Required Skills:
Computer knowledge
Required Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Texas license as a Registered Nurse. Certified in Basic Life Support,
Preferred Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support
Required Experience:
Two years as a preadmission nurse or a charge nurse in an acute care department.
Preferred Experience:
Previous management experience in a Preadmission Testing unit.
