Purpose:

The Resort Manager is responsible for effectively leading and managing all aspects of the hotel and for delivering results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the hotel by accomplishing performance objectives focused on driving sales and profitability, guest and associate satisfaction and ensuring that brand standards are met.

Role Overview

The Resort Manager will function as the primary strategic business leader of the property with responsibility for all aspects of the operations, including guest and employee satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, sales, and revenue generation and delivering a return on investment to ownership.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee all aspects of resort operations including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage outlets.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and ensure exceptional service standards are maintained.
  • Manage and motivate resort staff, providing training and support as needed to ensure high levels of performance and productivity.
  • Monitor and manage resort budgets, expenses, and revenue streams to achieve financial targets.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop promotional strategies and packages to attract guests and maximize occupancy rates.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner, striving to resolve issues to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
  • Regularly inspect resort facilities and grounds to ensure they are well-maintained and meet quality standards.
  • Foster a positive work culture and promote teamwork and cooperation among resort staff.
  • Responsible for selection, development and performance of all associates.
  • Train and on-board new associates

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in resort management or a similar role, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Solid understanding of hospitality industry trends, best practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospitality management software.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Being active in the local community to build strong relationships with local officials, businesses, and customers.
