Description
The successful candidate will:
Task Description: The PRISM division of OSD, CAPE maintains business applications to support the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process. This includes the Department of Defense Resources Data Warehouse (DRDW).
The DRDW collects strategic resource data from multiple DoD sources, produces various analytical and validation reports, and hosts reports used by OMB, Congress, and throughout the DoD. The DRDW provides Business Intelligence and visual data analytics capability enabling analysts to conduct descriptive analytics and publish resource analytic insights to DoD communities and resides on the classified network.
Current DRDW, RSM and FSM system consists of multiple Red Hat virtual servers managed via Oracle VM Manager (OVM). As part of DRDW team, the incumbent will provide the following system administration / hardening tasks:
· Apply automated and manual STIGs, operating system patches, and COTS software updates
· Create server certificates
· Regularly clone virtual machines as part of system patching
· Maintain compliant Risk Management architecture. All STIGs are applied or mitigated. Cooperate with IA teams to achieve and maintain ATO (Authority-To-Operate) status.
· Monitor ACAS reports and maintain compliance.
· Ensure systems remain optional with minimal downtime 24-7.
· Ensure access controls are maintained.
· Maintain Production, Staging, and Development servers.
· Manage backups using IBM Spectrum Protect software.
· Design / test / deploy COTS migration including Oracle Fusion Middleware integration and management, capacity planning, application and network performance tuning,
· Participate in Cloud migration efforts.
The incumbent may also be required to provide limited development and integration support for managing the DRDW and other web application systems in PRISM including Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle Business Intelligence Server (Oracle Analytic Server), Oracle HTTP Server. The OBIEE system typically undergoes a version upgrade/migration every 3 to 5 years. In addition, PRISM currently has plans to migrate the current on-premise platform to a cloud platform that may require DRDW and other web applications to migrate to a new COTS solution.
