- PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, and talks with customers by phone.
- Demonstrates product and emphasizes salable features.
- Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
- Provides accurate estimates of date of delivery to customer based on knowledge of own Company’s production and delivery schedules and/or estimates by production department.
- Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
- Trains customers in the use of Company's products, and recommends alternative solutions based on the customer’s needs.
- Interfaces with all levels of customer’s personnel.
- Attends trade shows.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, write, speak, analyze data and reports, and effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Must be able to travel extensively. Valid driver’s license required.
