About the Role

This position reports directly to the Global Controller and is responsible for accounting processes and various other areas within the finance function.

What You Will Do

• Primary responsibility is the integrity of financial statements and financial reporting.
• Leads the accounting processes of the business, including closing processes, audit, technical accounting matters & accounting policies.
• Coordinate and administer an adequate plan for the control of operations.
• Compare performance with operating plans and standards. Provides reports and interprets the results of operations to all levels of management. This includes the formulation of accounting policies, the preparation of financial statements and operating data, the coordination of systems and procedures, and special reports as required.
• Working with other finance leads, forecasts short-range and long-range cash requirements and obligations, as a basis for maintaining adequate funds.
• Assure protection for the assets of the business through internal control, internal auditing, and ensuring proper insurance coverage.
• Coordinates with other company units with related information required by them to carry out their assigned responsibilities and to facilitate PCS Wireless needs.
• Works with other finance leads to monitor inventory levels and advises management regarding movements and accounting policies related to inventory.
• Assist with global tax matters, filings and management of outside accounting service providers.
• Assure that management training and development needs are identified and programs initiated.
• Assure that qualified personnel are selected, and that orientation and on-the-job training programs are conducted and effective.
• Develop an adequate plan for backup and succession of management and other key personnel.
• Monitor performance of direct reports. Provide prompt and objective coaching and counseling.
• Identify and promote process improvement to streamline business procedures and systems.

Who You Are

• BS. degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of eight years' experience ideally gained through increasingly responsible management positions within a global finance function.
• Minimum of two (2) years' recent experience as an Accounting Manager/Supervisor or similar role with responsibility for accounting close process.
• Experience working with ERP system (NetSuite would be a plus, but anything other than QB)
