Our approach to target marketing with flexibility distinguishes us from other providers. Job Summary:As a Commercial Underwriter / Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the underwriting process for commercial insurance policies and managing a team of underwriters. You will play a critical role in assessing risks, ensuring compliance with company policies and guidelines, and making informed decisions to protect the company’s interests. Duties and Responsibilities:Review and analyze commercial insurance applications, assessing risks, and determining appropriate coverage and pricing.Develop and maintain underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.Collaborate with other departments, such as claims and sales, to ensure a smooth and efficient underwriting process.Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact underwriting decisions.Evaluate and negotiate complex risks, including large commercial accounts and specialty lines of business.Provide underwriting support and expertise to underwriters, brokers, and other stakeholders.Monitor the performance of underwriters, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary training and development initiatives.Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the development and implementation of underwriting strategies.Qualifications:5 years of experience or equivalent industry knowledgeStrong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to evaluate complex risks and make sound underwriting decisions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a positive and productive work environment.Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving business objectives while maintaining high-quality standards. Compensation: $50k to $70k, if licensed, a participation in department profit sharing Schedule: FT, M-F Benefits:MedicalDentalVisionLife InsurancePaid Time Off401K
