Education/Experience: Any combination equivalent to sufficient experience, training and/or education to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above. Typically, this would be gained through: attending high school and one year custodial or related experience including some work maintaining pools. Licenses/Certifications: None Knowledge of: Equipment, materials and methods used in pool maintenance and general custodial work; safe use and care of cleaning materials and equipment used in pool maintenance and general custodial work; operation of hand and power tools and equipment used in custodial work and pool maintenance; proper methods of storing equipment, materials and supplies; requirements of maintaining pools and facilities in a safe and sanitary condition; and basic record-keeping techniques .
Ability to: Perform responsible maintenance and custodial duties; maintain surrounding areas in as safe and sanitary manner; understand and follow oral and written instructions; use cleaning materials safely and efficiently; and operate tools and equipment related to maintenance functions in a safe manner.
Skill in: Providing effective customer service and problem-solving. Communication Skills: Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; ability to furnish and obtain information from other departments.
Tool, Machine, Equipment Operation: Power washer, Pool Sweeper, Hand Mower, Weed Eater, Maintenance Tools, Miscellaneous Hand Tools, ladder.
Working Conditions: The employee is frequently exposed to various weather conditions.
