The Heritage Community is Hiring a MAINTENANCE WORKER | Full-Time Near Provo, UT

The Heritage Community has a beautiful 19-acre campus with multiple buildings, along with outdoor landscaping and facilities. Thus, we require our own maintenance team to perform routine and extensive preventative procedures to help keep our campus community in keen condition! We are currently seeking to hire two incumbents, who have experience in all trades – painting, carpentry, minor electrical, and other recognized crafts for the purpose of maintaining and repairing. The ability to understand and follow instructions, as well as have effective communication skills to clearly convey maintenance needs of the campus are necessary. We also seek a candidate who can be an example of our company’s vision, to ultimately, help our business be successful!

Schedule:
  • Full-Time: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Will also include being the on-call Maintenance Worker, on rotation, for nights and weekends for emergency purposes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine, repetitive inspections and maintenance, as necessary, to building exteriors and interiors.
  • Respond to maintenance requests promptly, and communicate efficiently with employees who made the request to assure needs are fulfilled. Report completed jobs and give completed service orders to the Facilities Manager.
  • Assist with and perform functions in the construction, assembly, installation, and maintenance of furniture, fences, shelving, whiteboards, cabinets, and a variety of other structures and items for office spaces and other areas on campus.
  • Perform general grounds keeping as needed (i.e. snow removal for sidewalks and roads, mulch distribution, etc.), and inspect all other outside areas.
  • Assist in the set up for company events, as needed.
  • Repair, replace, and reprogram doorknobs and lockets, along with making keys.
  • Adhere to OSHA standards, policies, and procedures.

Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of construction methods and technologies, using hand and electronic tools, fire safety equipment, small appliances, drywall, framing, sprinkler repair, etc.
  • Capability to lift and stack objects up to 100 lbs. (desks, furniture, etc.), and frequently exert 10-30 lbs. of force to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal-relationship skills.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office and Google Drive.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in maintenance and/or construction desired.
  • Must be at least 20 years of age or older to apply.
  • Proficiency and fluency in speaking, understanding, reading, and writing English.
