PayJunction is Hiring a Remote Product Marketing Manager

We are seeking a Product Marketing Manager to develop and execute go-to-market initiatives to drive awareness, adoption and revenue growth for PayJunction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for having a deep understanding of our customers, their pain points and turning those into compelling narratives and value propositions. They will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product management, sales and marketing to effectively position and promote PayJunction’s products in the market.

Location

PayJunction takes a Flex First approach to work environments. This means that our team members can choose to work from our Santa Barbara office or remotely from home. Responsibilities

  • Go-to-Market Strategy and Success:
    • Create comprehensive go-to-market plans and successfully launch all new products.
    • Ensure a high success rate for new product launches measured by sales and market penetration.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align on product strategy and execute marketing initiatives.
  • Content Creation and Engagement:
    • Develop a consistent stream of compelling messaging and positioning for the product.
    • Lead the development of marketing collateral and sales enablement materials.
    • Aim for increased engagement KPIs on content over time.
  • Customer Persona Development:
    • Foster relationships with customers, gather feedback, and advocate for their needs.
    • Conduct in-depth customer interviews to inform persona development.
    • Develop detailed personas for the target audience.
  • Market Positioning:
    • Enhance brand perception/awareness in key markets.
    • Conduct ongoing market research to inform product strategy and marketing campaigns.
    • Regularly analyze competitor marketing strategy and messaging.
  • Sales Enablement Effectiveness:
    • Collaborate with sales teams to provide necessary tools, training, and resources.
    • Implement sales enablement materials usage tracking.
    • Administer regular sales team satisfaction surveys aiming for high satisfaction.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Document new processes and identify improvements.
    • Create and maintain a dedicated space for Product Marketing information and share with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in product marketing or related roles at a B2B company.
  • Over 3 years of experience in payments or SaaS, with a preference for experience in payments and an understanding of ISVs/developers and merchants.
  • Strong experience in the following areas: product launches, go-to-market strategy, product & market positioning, persona development, market research, and content creation.
    • Demonstrated examples tied back to each of the specified areas, showcasing hands-on execution.
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) for managing and updating web content.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and familiarity with tools (e.g., Moz, SEMRush).
  • Experience with email marketing tools and platforms for creating and analyzing campaigns.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) to manage customer data and track interactions.
  • Basic understanding of graphic design principles and tools (i.e., Adobe Suite and Figma) for creating visually appealing content.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools for streamlining and automating marketing processes.
  • Experience working on small marketing teams with under 10 members, demonstrating the ability to work as an independent contributor.
  • Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

The base salary range for this role is $125-145k/year plus benefits. Actual base salary offered will vary depending on factors including but not limited to: education, experience, skills and qualifications.
