Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties:

• Process accounts payable invoices, review for accuracy and proper approvals, and ensure accurate coding and entry into the accounting system.
• Review and reconcile vendor statements to resolve any discrepancies.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any issues or disputes in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper expense allocation and coding.
• Assists with creating, updating and maintaining process documents.
• Review and scan invoices that arrive by mail (takes a few hours one day per week). 
• Reconcile credit card statements, ensuring that expenditures are charged to the correct general ledger account and that appropriate documentation is complete.
• Assist with organization and coordination of vendor contracts
• Assist with other projects as needed.
• Abide by all policies, work procedures and instructions.
• Communicate with internal and external customers in a courteous and professional manner.

Required Skills/Qualifications: 

• Strong interpersonal skills; able to develop constructive, cooperative, and professional working relationships with internal and external customers
• Financial aptitude and analysis skills to assess and evaluate information, data, and results to choose the best solution and solve problems
• Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously with minimal direction, while relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Must have a strong attention to detail and be well organized

Education and Knowledge: 

• Associates Degree and 2 or more years of related experience
• Data entry skills, including 10-key by touch

• Ability to type 40 words per minute.

• Basic math skills and a general knowledge of accounting and a chart of accounts

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Avid Exchange, Chrome River, and Foxit
• Basic to intermediate level understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday: 8am-5pm

Full time - mostly remote
