Parallel Employment is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for 1st shift in Gowanda, NY.
This will be a Direct Hire Position.
Pay rates : Depending on experience $18-$20/HR
Job Description:
- Review, match, and process vendor invoices
- Work with external vendors on invoice and payment discrepancies
- Consolidate payments for weekly review with management.
- Generate checks, wires and ACHs.
- Generate reports detailing accounts payables status
- Understand expense accounts and cost centers
- Understand compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)
- Assist Assistant Controller in reconciling payables accounts each month
- Copy, file, and retrieve materials for accounts payable as needed
- Relay changes of information to appropriate employees
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Education: High School Diploma Or GED REQUIRED.
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
- At least two years of related experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Required to sit, stand, walk, grasp, handle, reach with hands
