About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Business Unit Finance Lead to join their high-growth and established life sciences innovator. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the finance function for a business unit within the company, which provides solutions to maximize the commercial potential of innovative therapeutics for larger biopharma firms and emerging biotech companies. This role involves driving business unit planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring financial plans meet stakeholder expectations, and operating in a matrix organization to coordinate and lead client finance, FP&A, and accounting efforts. The VP, Business Unit Finance Lead will also be expected to work effectively across the company, challenging and supporting the business to drive informed, data-driven decision-making through diligent financial management.Candidates should have 10-15 years' of professional experience in finance roles, including substantial experience in FP&A, and leadership of a divisional business unit for a company with at least $300 million in total revenues. An undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required, with an advanced business degree and CPA being a plus. Industry experience in professional services, particularly in life sciences, communications, or consulting, is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in finance leadership roles, strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, and experience with data visualization tools. Key attributes include the ability to challenge the norms, excellent leadership skills, and the capacity to build and maintain strong relationships within the business and across the organization.
