OVG360 is Hiring a Director of Finance Near Austin, TX
- Manage and mentor team of accounting personnel including professional development, performance reviews, training, hiring, and setting priorities for the team to ensure task completion.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy of all finance tasks.
- Prepare budget and financial forecasts.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and checklists.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports by team members.
- Project event deals, actual event P&L's, and analysis.
- Conduct and oversee event pre-settlements and night of event final settlements.
- Prepare flash reports based on the schedule set by VP of Finance.
- Prepare and review balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Oversee the revenue and expense recognition process so that it follows contract terms.
- Oversee the annual GAAP audit and timely financials, as well as various financial reports.
- Lead other special projects as requested by leadership.
- Participates in other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Frequent bending, lifting 15-20 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or similar focus; MBA/CPA a plus
- 7 years of relevant work experience, including experience managing other finance staff
- Experience with stadiums, arenas, or other venues is preferred
- Superior Excel skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Ability to learn quickly, open to change and enjoy the challenge of unfamiliar tasks
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and ambiguous environment; handle multiple tasks with the ability to re-prioritize and shift priorities quickly
- Written/Oral communications - ability to speak and write clearly and concisely, get messages across that have the desired effect
