- Maintain a patient treatment schedule consistent with the needs of the department.
- Obtain complete medical history and physical data on patients. Reviews pertinent patient records. Records all findings.
- Interpret and integrate data to determine and implement appropriate modalities, therapeutic procedures and splinting needed. Develop and implement exercise and home programs as indicated.
- Instruct patients and family regarding rehabilitation. Provide patient education. Assessment and necessary communication regarding activities and injury prevention.
- Document daily treatment notes in a timely manner.
- Record treatment charges daily and completes charge tickets in an accurate and timely manner.
- Provide monitoring between physician or PA visits.
- Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations.
- Ensure therapy equipment is in proper working order.
- Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, Physical Therapy Techs, Trainers and Aides.
- Assist in training and orienting of new therapy staff.
- All other duties assigned.
- Working knowledge of computer programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Understand/Perform training on practice management software.
- Continue to expand knowledge of electronic medical record software as updates occur.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Passed National Physical Therapy Examination.
- Maintain Arizona State License.
- Maintain CPR certification.
