About This Position:
The Surgical Assistant/First Assist ensures the operating room, supplies, and equipment are prepared in advance for the days’ cases and opened with sterile technique. Prepares for cases according to surgeon preferences. Assists the surgeon with field preparation, ensuring field remains sterile, passing instruments, retracting, safely assisting with position changes, suturing tissue layers and applying dressings to surgical wounds as requested by the surgeon. Opportunity to work closely with the OR team towards the shared goal of providing excellent and safe patient care.

Our Surgery Center is a boutique AAAASF certified surgery suite with one operating room. We provide a high level of individualized care for plastic surgery patients. Our goal is to provide the best experience and outcome to our patients. Highlighted Responsibilities:
Maintains compliance with all Surgery Center policies and procedures.
Reviews preference and verify case supplies prior to surgery.
Maintains an orderly surgical field and safely and efficiently passes instruments and supplies to the surgeon.
Anticipates and prioritizes the needs of the various steps associated with the procedure.
Assists in supply count as dictated by the procedure.
Assists in ordering and stocking specialty supplies as directed.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an Accredited program for First Assist (CSFA)
Current BLS certification required
Outpatient Surgery experience Required
One year of experience in plastic surgery preferred
