Oppenheimer Plastic Surgery is Hiring a Medical Receptionist / Medical Assistant Near Orlando, FL

About Our Opportunity
Have you always been told you that you're a great at connecting with people and a good listener? Do you have a positive, engaging, and encouraging attitude when making connections? Are you energized when talking to people about their goals or when you're able to help someone feel confident in pursuing their goals? If you love making genuine connections and helping others on a life-changing journey to greater confidence, we have an opportunity where you will thrive.
As the Medical Receptionist in our Practice, you are a critical Team Member in shaping our Patients' experience. When a patient reaches out for the first time to get additional information or schedule a consult, they are in a position of vulnerability. You are often the first person they speak to, and, therefore, the first person in a position to help them feel welcome, safe, understood, and encouraged. You will provide regular in depth education about specific procedures, what to expect, how to prepare, and healing and downtime, and what to expect from consult to surgery and afterwards. You will have the support from additional team members, including from our experienced Patient Care Coordinator.
This is a very rewarding role in terms of connecting with people and helping them on their journey. There are busy stretches where being able to comfortably prioritize and multi-task while maintaining good attention to detail is valuable. Regardless of if we are the right Practice to help a patient on their journey, we value making sure every patient asking us for help is treated with dignity and respect. In addition to providing a great patient experience, you will help hand hold patients through the process from their first phone call through surgery. Other routine duties include scheduling appointments; check patients in/out; processing payments etc.
Our ideal candidate is highly motivated to excel. You will be a critical part of following and helping to define our standards for the role. You will fit in great with our team if you enjoy challenging yourself and finding ways to contribute to creating an even better experience or process. If you're the type who is organized and accountable in completing your professional responsibilities, you will welcome the autonomy you enjoy in the role. If you need more support with what to prioritize, that's okay too as long as you have strong communication and self-awareness in being open about that.
You're a great fit for this position if you have the following: strong interpersonal skills; a natural ability to make people feel welcome and comfortable; concierge customer service intuition; exceptional attention to detail; strong organizational skills; ability to stay grounded and prioritize during more pressured times; and a joy in going above and beyond patients' expectations.
