Open Arms is searching for qualified Lead and Assistant Teachers for toddler age children in a childcare setting. Lead teachers are responsible for care of children during all times of the day and additional cleaning duties as well. At least one year experience in childcare and training classes required for Lead teachers. Assistant teachers will receive training and experience is not required. CPR/First Aid certified is preferred but will train if not already certified.
Current full-time positions available are:
7:30-6:00, one day off per week
7:00-4:00, Monday-Friday
9:00-6:00, Monday-Friday
Current part-time positions available are:
7:00-1:00, Monday-Friday
1:00-6:00, Monday-Friday
If hired, employee would be responsible for completing training courses, background check fingerprinting and a health assessment within the first 30 days of hire. Pay rate will be dependent on experience and education. Experience is required for lead teachers, but no experience is required for assistant teachers. All training will be done after hire and within the first 30 days of employment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities for children between the ages of 1 and 3.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Lead and supervise a classroom of children, ensuring their well-being and development.
- Collaborate with parents and families to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education.
- Monitor and assess the progress of each child, providing individualized support as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
