Child Start is actively recruiting for multiple openings in our early Head Start classrooms serving children ages 0-3, with positions available across Sedgwick and Butler counties.
A typical day working with Child Start in an early childhood classroom may involve :
Encourage children to try new learning activities.
Assess each child’s development initially and update assessments throughout the school year.
Review the curriculum continually and write weekly lesson plans that incorporate all areas of child development (social / emotional development, physical and cognitive language development).
Requirements
Requires :
Infant / Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA), (we have scholarships available to help with CDA completion)
relevant experience working with infants and toddlers.
The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 30 pounds for various classroom and event needs.
