As we gear up for an exciting phase of growth, we're seeking a Business Development Representative who blends a hunter's instinct with strategic insight, customer service and a passion for the logistics industry.

The Role: As our Business Development Representative, you'll play a crucial role in driving the business forward. This position is more than sales; it's about strategic thinking and integrating relationships with broader business objectives. Our ideal hire is seeking to utilize their sales and relationship building acumen to not only increase our footprint and volumes with our current customer and driver base but expand into new opportunities as well.

What You'll Do:

  • Continue building on your logistics sales skills and area knowledge to drive growth.
  • Become an expert in all modes of Statewide Materials' service offerings, including trucking, transport, and aggregates.
  • Prospect, acquire, and expand client and driver relationships.
  • Collaborate with the Area Manager and team to ensure top-notch service delivery and account expansion.
  • Travel as required, conducting business reviews and growing client connections.
  • Utilize market knowledge for strategic pricing and innovative solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in sales or third-party logistics.
  • A track record of success in sales, especially in trucking, transport, and aggregates.
  • Strong ability in pricing business strategically and competitively.
  • Exceptional negotiation, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver results under pressure.
  • Committed to customer satisfaction and team success.
  • Being fully bilingual in English & Spanish is a plus but not required.
