Job Summary & Responsibilities Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Data Engineering lead for our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data warehousing, and team management. As a Data Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, integrity, and quality of our data while leading a team of data engineers. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Set clear goals and performance expectations for team members. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Data Infrastructure: Architect, design, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes. Ensure data availability, reliability, and security. Evaluate and implement data engineering technologies and tools. ETL Development: Oversee the development of ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data platforms. Monitor and optimize ETL workflows for efficiency and performance. Data Quality and Governance: Implement data quality standards and governance processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Establish and enforce data security and compliance policies. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights. Project Management: Manage data engineering projects, including resource allocation, timelines, and budget. Prioritize and execute initiatives that align with business objectives. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes, architectures, and standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant experience of a minimum of 6 years in data engineering, including data warehousing, ETL development, and data modeling. Strong proficiency in data engineering technologies, such as SQL, Python, and data integration tools. Experience with Microsoft technologies (SQL Server, Azure, PowerBI) Prior experience in team management and leadership roles. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: Relevant certifications in data engineering or related fields. Knowledge of Data Science and AI Modelling.
