Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. First to deliver the best imaging and classification data for every defect or point on any layer at any time. EBeam’s mission encapsulates its role as the “eyes” of KLA’s product line, providing timely information on defects and critical locations on the wafer at the highest spatial resolution possible. Customers use EBeam products alongside KLA patterned and bare wafer inspectors to quickly understand the nature of defects and other imperfections on product wafers and take action to correct the manufacturing process.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

HPC Engineering technicians are core to KLA’s technology, we are building our world-class HPC engineering team, we are interested in learning about your background.

This important role involves working on high performance compute clusters: specifically, constructing, installing, maintaining, upgrading, part ordering, documenting, and writing procedures for server hardware and software systems used on company products. Projects involve hands on working with high performance Linux compute clusters which includes bios configuration, configuration and testing storage, Server / Switch network configuration, Part ordering/tracking, Rack configuration (installing servers, switches, cabling), and Linux & Windows OS installation. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be able to work onsite daily.

Responsibilities:

• Rack Configuration (Server and Switch installation including cabling) and corresponding assembly procedures Server, Storage and Network Configuration and characterization
• Supporting requests on current Eng benches and system
• Ordering and tracking parts

Requirements:

• Rack configuration: Server & Switch installation, configuration & cabling
• Storage configuration and support
• Familiarity with Linux OS installation and configuration
• Familiarity with Windows OS installation and configuration
• Familiarity with Network configurations
• Good documentation and procedure writing skills
• Good communication and organization skills including part ordering and tracking.
• Ability to write and modify Bash and Python scripts.
• Familiarity with server management interfaces

Nice to have:

• Experience working with Containers, VMs, Kubernetes, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a minimum of 4 - 6 years of related experience
