Job Summary & Responsibilities This position includes managing a diverse team of systems engineers, as well as working on challenging technical problems, developing product concepts, requirements and system models. The position also requires the ability to formulate realistic but acceptable delivery schedules for systems or subsystems and delivering to those schedules. This position requires close coordination with cross-functional teams, including field service, software, manufacturing, marketing and application groups. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills combined with advanced technical capabilities. Ability to lead a team of talented system engineers and drive their daily activities Results-oriented focus and a reputation for getting new products to the market on time and meeting requirements. Experience with independently initiating, prototyping, developing and releasing of complex optical tools 15-20 years of experience in high precision optical or semiconductor capital instruments. Strong experience in defining system level requirements, and breaking down those requirements to sub-system and component level requirements and specifications. Experience with system and sub-system model development. Ability to create comprehensive system plan including Failure mode analysis, SRD, test plans and other PLC documentation Ability to understand what limits system performance, and how to overcome those limits. Ability to see gaps in design reviews, and work constructively on closing those gaps. Knowledge in spectroscopy, ellipsometry and reflectometry is a plus.
