Reporting to our SVP, Financial Planning, we are hiring for an exciting new opportunity,
Senior Director, Financial Planning. The Sr. Director will advise and optimize the Financial Planning functions at MSK which include the planning, design, and execution of the annual Operating and Capital Budget cycles, Rolling and Long-Range forecasting functions, and provide oversight of the annual Indirect Cost Proposal preparation and submission processes.
In addition ,
the Sr. Director will: - Collaborate with Finance and Operational Leadership to support the continuous improvement to understand and leverage the utility of the planning tools to drive efficiency and accountability of financial results.
- Serve as a key leader to collaborate in the design and optimization efforts to integrate the various planning tools across the enterprise.
- Support the development and integration of strategic and operational business plans into the planning tools to ensure alignment with institutional priorities.
- Oversee the preparation of Annual Budget and Long-Range Forecast presentations to Senior Leadership and MSK Board Committees.
- Lead a multi-level team by providing direction, coaching, and support to multi-disciplinary project team members. Mentor members of the Financial Planning Team in promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
You have: - 10 years of experience leading financial planning functions in a complex healthcare environment including directing the Operating and Capital Budget functions, Short- and Long-Term Forecasting functions, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to incorporate strategic and operational initiatives into those enterprise plans.
- Executive-level collaboration, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Proven success leading and mentoring teams.
- Proficiency in designing, developing, and customizing planning tools to meet the organizational needs/drive value for the Enterprise.
- Proven understanding of Strata Planning tools, or similar is a strong plus.
- CPA preferred.

hybrid role, allowing for flexibility while still ensuring occasional in-person presence in NYC for important meetings and collaboration needs.
