What you’ll be doing…

The Consumer Content and Partnerships team is responsible for connecting consumers with the content and experiences they love on the nation’s best network. Content serves as a key driver in consumer decision making, and the role that content plays for our current and future customers is increasingly critical. As one of the largest direct-to-consumer platforms in the U.S., we have a massive opportunity to herald in the next consumer use cases for video, audio, immersive and live experiences. Our team sits at the center of that opportunity. We lead the play platform and oversee all content partnerships, source opportunities and negotiate with a broad range of content and programming entities, including major broadcast and cable companies, sports leagues, emerging O&O platforms, OTT/digital providers, studios, AR/VR producers, retailers, gaming developers, and live entertainment venues and production companies.

Our team is seeking an experienced self-starter who can work cross-functionally across business groups and drive operations to support Verizon’s strategic and financial goals in the video content distribution space. This candidate will support entire content org with operational needs. This position will ensure that things get done in most efficient and timely manner and that we enable the experiences and deliver the services that our customers rely us on.

Responsibilities include:

  • Running CPS-103 approval with management, including running pre-approval calls with chief revenue officer and chief finance officer, routing approvals through chain, tracking approvals and bringing it to closure in timely manner.

  • Managing operations of the content group.

  • Supporting end-to-end PO related process with vendors, including PO generation, approval routing, tracking, invoices etc.

  • Finding opportunities to improve existing processes, eliminate pain points.

  • Providing Play support, including partner onboarding, leading test/defect calls etc.

  • Providing PMO support to the team, including running major projects for the team.

  • Collaborating with Content group's chief of staff to support in activities related to operations.

  • Supporting go dark operations - communication to customers etc.

  • Tracking approved spend, open commitments, pending to spend. Collaborating with budget team to have end-to-end visibility of CV/OL, actuals, open commitment, remaining budget.

  • Maintaining spend report at detailed/partner, project level.

What we’re looking for…

You are curious about the business and are great with details. You enjoy managing operations of the team and like to collaborate with teams to be the best possible partner and provide solid operations foundation for the team to rely on. You have great knowledge of operational tools, systems, processes and can collaborate with sourcing and other teams to manage operations of the group. You understand how to balance what others want and what your area needs. You are dedicated and determined to see things through from start to finish. You focus on the details but don’t lose sight of the big picture...or your deadlines. You like working with diverse people from all kinds of backgrounds and functions and have a knack for developing relationships.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience managing business operations.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Masters / MBA degree.

  • Experience in managing purchase orders, invoices, executive approvals, and tracking budget spend.

  • Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis and project management.

  • Experience managing multiple projects across a large enterprise.

  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to visualize strategic recommendations.

  • Ability to manage a changing environment with many stakeholders.

  • Strong sense of curiosity and desire to build relationships across a large and diverse organization.

  • Intellectual and analytical curiosity – initiative to dig into the ‘why’ of various data and research.

  • Strong experience in stakeholder management.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
