Position Summary
The Marketing Operations Manager will plan, develop, and implement strategies that support marketing efforts and organizational growth objectives. Primary responsibilities include data analysis, data extraction for lists, advocating strong data governance, supporting the implementation of new initiatives, and providing recommendations to enhance marketing performance.
Located at our office in Naperville, IL or Mount Laurel, NJ. Our office environment is a key driver of our company culture and employee experience, so a regular in-office hybrid model (generally T-TH in office and M & F remote) is required. Some travel required up to 10%.
Responsibilities include but not limited to
- Conduct intricate analyses using Looker to generate targeted lists for diverse marketing campaigns, including acquisition, cross-selling, win-back, and renewal. This involves applying filters, evaluating campaign performance, targeted segmentation, building test cells, and leveraging insights to prepare new lists for each campaign.
- Recommend best practices for campaign automation and maintain a continuous improvement mindset to create additional campaign efficiencies.
- Troubleshoot problems and partner with marketing, third parties, and technical teams to identify and implement solutions and enhancements.
- Make recommendations based on data to aid targeting and understanding of customer behavior, product improvements and strategic business decisions.
- Advocate for data integrity and data governance.
- Monitor and resolve data quality issues (e. g. potential duplicates, conflicting or missing data, merging records).
- Develop and maintain clear documentation pertaining to list selection and segmentation.
- Thought leader for marketing and responsible for driving insights on campaigns
- Provide ongoing ad hoc database extracts for marketing including but not limited to customer counts, penetration, partner prospect lookup, campaign history, partner territory/customer overlap and list validation.
- Support data visualizations and reporting
- Provide strong and effective leadership to direct reports and others, as necessary.
- Responsible for providing direct reports with strategic direction and assistance to drive operational excellence, as necessary.
Experience and Qualifications of the Role
- 5 years marketing analysis or customer data analysis experience.
- Solid understanding of Looker or other BI and data visualization tools.
- Experience with Asana or related project management tool
- Strong understanding of range of data manipulation and analysis techniques.
- Experience with campaign automation tools and various API/integrations with different systems
- Problem solving, decision-making and analytical.
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Strong project management skills including a demonstrated ability to create and achieve goals and objectives.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, intuitively analytical, action-oriented and ability to work independently.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suites
- Data Visualization (Looker preferred)
- Strong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular databases
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or operations preferred
