Summary: The Accounting Manager is an essential part of the financial management team. They must understand all types of financial operations and how they work together including debts, assets, cash forecasting, payroll, capital assets and revenue analysis. The Accounting Manager supervises key functions of the accounting department, prepares reports for company leads, and develops standards and processes for the proper financial management.
Job Duties:
Plan, implements, maintains the accounting systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions.
Manages the company’s financial accounts, payrolls, budget and cash receipts and financial reports.
Handle the company’s transactions and debts and cash flow transactions
Performs a wide variety of general accounting functions including journal entries, period-end closing process, balance sheet reconciliations and consolidations
Review of monthly financial statements. Identify variances and implement corrective actions.
Ensures timely completion of period end.
Follow proper accounting procedures to reach financial objectives.
Monitor and analyze financial accounting data.
Guide the implementation of new financial procedures and initiatives.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
Provides timely and accurate financial reporting as well as monthly reconciliation.
Maintains Licenses and Permits.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
4 to 5 years of accounting experience within the restaurant industry.
Excellent organizational and planning skills: task prioritization and effective time management.
Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work across many departments to problem solve and achieve results with a variety of people and personalities in a timely manner.
Motivated self-starter
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Experience in working with accounting softwares such as R365
Sense of urgency, detail oriented, ability to delegate
