The Director, Risk Management and Compliance, provides leadership with risk management and regulatory compliance activities. Proactively and strategically promotes enterprise risk identification, mitigation, and loss prevention with the objective of safeguarding people, assets, and reputation. Works closely with leaders, providers, and employees in support of demonstrating the organization’s good faith commitment to integrity of operations.This position oversees multiple institutional insurance programs; coordinates claims activities as liaison with carriers and legal counsel; interfaces with providers, staff, patients and families involved in events; is a resource for concerns related to areas of liability and compliance; oversees the compliance program; serves as privacy officer and designated public records officer; and facilitates in-service education on risk and compliance topics.Also follows direction of the CEO on assignment of special projects. Subject to varying and unpredictable situations including involvement in emergency situations. Serves as the District’s Compliance Officer and is accountable to Board of Commissioners on significant compliance matters.
